Show Times
Van Morrison’s successful career and musical legacy came about through the love of blues, gospel, jazz and country that he shared with his shipyard worker father. A love of his hometown and of the greats of folk and blues such as Lead Belly and Muddy Waters instilled a creative element to Van’s live performances over the years. Van’s 1968 album Astral Weeks exemplifies this, recorded over three days with legendary jazz musicians it draws on many creative forms, from street poetry, jazz improvisation, Celtic invocation and Afro Celtic blues wailing. Returning to his hometown, one of music’s true originals will be joined by special guests to do what he does best, delivering an intimate rhythm and blues show in an intimate club atmosphere.
Wine reception and meal included.
